LIVE: SHORTS AT HOME

Brazil |

The peripheral communities in the city of São Paulo were built on the basis of collaboration and collectivity. In this moment of isolation, the peripherical audiovisual producers gave a powerful example of how it is possible to make quality audiovisual, even each one at home. In the webinar of the Special Shorts at Home Program, the 10 directors chosen in the popular vote on the project will bring their points of view on the importance of the collective and the need to seek references for productions outside the more traditional spaces. Whether on the tracks, narratives or aesthetic languages, the project's directors brought others and other artists from their communities with them to strengthen not only their journey in the audiovisual sector, but to enhance the work of those who also fight for more space and opportunity. The chat will be mediated by two powerful cultural producers: Wellington Amorim, 25 years old, who lives in Jardim Ângela, south of São Paulo. He works with communication, community cinema and is part of Maloka Filmes, an LGBT collective that creates possible narratives about marginalized bodies. He is director of the channel Enfrente and one of the articulators of the Cineclube Spcine. And Michelle Brito, a resident of the east side of São Paulo, an actress, poet and filmmaker graduated from the Instituto Criatar de TV e Cinema e Novas Medias and Escola de Teatro Incenna. Currently studying Radio and TV, and Film Lab. Member of the Varal Collective of Audiovisual and Collective bewildered and Vulva da Vovó de Artes Cênicas.
