Activities at Audiovisual Schools

The Short Film Festival always celebrates the partnership with partner audiovisual schools in Brazil, which send their films to the Festival in the Brazilian Showcase, besides participating in various activities and actions proposed by us. Check out this year's schedule:

ON VISION

Each year, Associação Cultural Kinoforum seeks to incorporate new views on the selection of the films. For this, besides composing its selection committee with the most diverse guests, it also invites students and new graduates who participated in other activities in the last editions to watch some of the films in the selection process and record their opinions. This year, students from 8 educational institutions participated. Their names can be checked in Festival credits.

MAKING OF

A team of the Cinema and Audiovisual course at ESPM-SP will be accompanying and recording activities of the 31th Short Film Festival to produce the making of. Always under the supervision of the school staff, students do interviews, document the public and the team in action. The result will be available on the Festival website in the end.

KINO NIGHT

The 12 partner schools indicate a group of students to participate in this achievement game. It all starts at 09 a.m. on Friday, the 21th, with a virtual meeting. The participants meet and receive the theme, which serves as inspiration for their productions, and then go out to perform the projects. This year, the participants will respect the social isolation due to covid-19, performing at their homes.  The projects are presented by them and exhibited on the night of August 24th, Monday, 08p.m. live and online at Festival’s platform.

SHORTS CRITIC

Shorts Critic is a workshop for audiovisual students that aims to promote reflection around contemporary cinema production in the short film format, contributing to the exercise, production and dissemination of texts, during the realization of the Festival.

Coordinated this year by the critic and journalist Thiago Stivaletti, the workshop will gather 25 students, chosen from 80 pre-selected students from online applications.

During the Festival, students act as film critics, analyzing the short films selected for this edition and publishing their texts on the Critical Short Blog. On Friday, August 28th, at 04p.m, the participants take stock of the Festival in a live open to the public, under the mediation of Stivaletti.
